The Fantasy Football Scoutcast
More than a decade ago Fantasy Football Scout launched its first first podcast – the legendary ScoutCast. Since then it has expanded to include an even wider range of expert opinion, stats and laughs to help you sniff out the likeliest clean sheets and best buys. Fantasy Football Scout’s podcast family has grown further in recent years to include captaincy and team news editions each Gameweek. Meanwhile, our regular Breakfast Club episodes add further analysis ahead of each deadline. There’s also our Meet the Manager series to check out – which sees us chat to Fantasy managers with a stellar track record of success.

Joe and Luke look ahead to Gameweek 48 in Sky Sports Fantasy Football and why Southampton's Danny Ings is proving pivotal for the season run in.

Sadly, both missed out on his weekend haul in Gameweek 47, but he's certainly back on their radar for the remaining games.

Differentials also get a mention, especially Man City's array of talent for those looking to hold back a transfer or two for the final set of fixtures of 19/20 in #skyff.

With the FA Cup resuming this weekend, the spectre of rotation looms larger than ever in Gameweek 32+ and beyond.

With fives substitutes allowed and fixtures arriving swiftly, ever-changing team sheets are something Fantasy Premier League managers are already having to adjust to.

Joe and Andy look ahead to how the FA Cup is set to affect FPL planning. This is something of particular concern to those like Joe, who are still pinning their hopes on a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goal or two.

Given the goal scoring success of both Manchester clubs in recent weeks, our duo also consider how to fit in the array of enticing forwards from the city.

Spurs assets are also on the bill. They have enticing fixtures and players for the run in. But how do squeeze them all in?

Then there's Liverpool to consider. They've won the league. But which of their stars will start in the league over the coming weeks?

Elsewhere, Joe and Andy look back on their mixed fortunes in Gameweek 31+ and ahead to the upcoming fixtures, including their captaincy and transfer plans.

Andy takes his turn to pick a differential. There are clean sheets to consider too as they look to juggle their rotation worries and secure the services of players with a high points ceiling. Tough times ahead.

This podcast was recorded on Friday 26 June morning, just after Liverpool were confirmed as Premier League champions. Congratulations to them and their patient fans.

Whether you have an abundance of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Chips or none remaining, this latest episode of the Scoutcast has got you covered.

Joe is joined by Lateriser12 and Andy to look ahead to Gameweek 31+ and beyond, with a close eye on Chip Strategy.

Lateriser12 is among the many FPL managers to take advantage of unlimited transfers in Gameweek 30+ and use their Bench Boost chip. With his Wildcard now in play he reveals the players in his thinking and how best to navigate the weeks ahead.

Meanwhile, Joe only has a Bench Boost to fall back on. Our trio look at the best Gameweeks to consider using not only this chip, but other remaining chips too.

Andy has used all his chips, but after tinkering during lockdown with his team he feels he is in good shape to match his Chip happy rivals.

Among issues they discuss are what to do with Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who blanked in his last two run outs but has two good fixtures ahead and enticing underlying stats too.

Sticking with the Gunners, there are replacement goalkeepers to mull over, after Bernd Leno suffered a nasty knock against Brighton at the weekend.

The best Liverpool assets, whether Manchester City can be swerved temporarily and the unlikely appeal of Newcastle are also in the mix.

In this packed 75 minute show the Scoutcasters also find time to look at the best clean sheet prospects. Lateriser12 takes his turn to pick a differential and there are Gameweek 31+ squads to reveal.

Who will they captain and which players can help propel them up the rankings?

Joe and David discuss the best captaincy candidates in FPL for Gameweek 30+. Double Gameweek assets top the bill. But there are some single Gameweek players that are tempting our podcast duo.

Can anyone really compare to Man City options this week, even if rotation is an issue?

Joe is joined by Andy and Az to discuss Double Gameweek 30+ and reveal their squads for the start of the season.

With unlimited transfers available and Chips to choose from our trio have markedly different teams and strategies for the remainder of the campaign.

Andy and Joe are without a second Wildcard, so are opting to ignore the extra transfers managers have been given and are playing their Free Hit chip instead. They reveal the thinking behind this move as well as the players in the frame for a place in their sides.

Meanwhile, Az has the luxury of Wildcard still to play so may well have the advantage over those Free Hitting. He is opting to play a Bench Boost chip.

However, Andy and Joe don’t make it easy for Az to choose. His selection of a certain Arsenal midfielder draws particular derision, as well as the occasional metaphor or two.

Could Az be the Darth Vader of this Gameweek with his Chip advantage? Or are his troops little more than Loony Tunes creations?

As well as revealing their Gameweek 30+ line ups they also look through the wealth of Double Gameweek players to choose from, with Sheffield United defenders and Manchester City attackers topping the bill.

They are not forgetting Single Gameweek options too, especially those facing traditionally awful defences.

Long term plans also feature, as they look ahead to the remainder of the season and the fixture swings ahead.

Clean sheets also get an airing. In addition, Joe picks a Differential for the next set of fixtures, even if he struggles to pronounce his low-owned selection's name.

Fantasy Premier League will be back on June 17 with an early Double Gameweek.

Some of our questions about the restart of the FPL season have been answered already. But there are plenty more of issues up in the air.

Joe is joined by Andy and David to discuss the return of the game and the challenges ahead.

They take a nervous peak at the teams they currently have for the remainder of the season, as well as how many and which Chips they have left.

Whether the game returns with one, two or unlimited transfers has been dominating FPL managers’ discussion already. Our trio look at the pros and cons of the varying arguments, from free Wildcards to the business as usual approach.

How well should FPL acknowledge this challenging season? And how do the Scoutcast crew feel about the resumption of top-flight action?

Elsewhere, this episode pays tribute to the geniuses behind Virtual and Championship Manager FPL, who have been doing a remarkable job lifting our spirits in this enforced down time.
